Here's a recipe for blueberry syrup, I made some tonight and it tastes great.
1 & 1/2 cup of blueberries
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
dash of salt
dash of cinnamon
1.5 teaspoon cornstarch
1.5 teaspoon cold water
In small saucepan, combine blueberries, corn syrup, lemon juice, salt and cinnamon. Place over medium heat. Mix cornstarch with water. Add to blueberry mixture. Bring to boil. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Serve warm. May be made ahead, refrigerated and reheated.

mmmm... I'll try this out sometime. Sounds pretty good!
As for us, we're going camping today and won't be back until Thurday. Just thought I'd let you know since the basis of this blog is nature and all. My son will love it I think : )
Have fun man, seems like Illinois has some pretty decent woodland.
Don't let Jeremiah get eaten by a bear. ;)
